Circadian rhythms and prevalent owls.

Being forced to work overtimes and had many working nights I found out that my body totally messed by some kind of jet lag. Even without a need to travel.

Jet lag is a physiological condition which results from alterations to the body’s circadian rhythms caused by rapid long-distance trans-meridian travel.

I decided to read something about circadian rhythms and modern science.

A circadian rhythm is any biological process that displays an endogenous, entrainable oscillation of about 24 hours. These 24-hour rhythms are driven by a circadian clock, and they have been widely observed in plants, animals, fungi, and cyanobacteria.

An excerpt from the article: ” … We provide evidence that being a morning person is causally associated with better mental health …”

From my the whole life experience teaches me that there are almost no “morning persons” by free will. All the “morning persons” I met were forced to be so. My impression that it’s something normal for a human to be an “evening person”.

Do you have a different experience?

If I am right, how it’s possible that the whole human race is so much against nature. If there is anything healthy the natural intent of our body more likely will be against it.

Do you have some opposite examples to break my conclusion?

Or maybe, on the opposite, you have examples that prove it?
