A dialog.
He views mankind's history as epochs or eras based on large-scale phenomena. A "50,000-foot view" of mankind's development.
Many can do something together that they cannot do individually.
Local or national problems can be solved by a single country, but...
global problems cannot be solved by many countries individually. There must be a global approach and solution.
Automation will take away many jobs and make humans "useless".
